  49. <p>
  50. Pursuing a course back to the Alpha Quadrant, 
  51. USS Voyager picks up a distress call. Upon 
  52. investigation, the starship finds an apparently 
  53. stricken vessel caught in the event horizon of a 
  54. quantum singularity. Trying to help, Voyager is 
  55. trapped and the crew realise both time and space 
  56. are being distorted around them.

  59. <p>
  60. A massive shockwave passes through space, 
  61. turbulently jarring Voyager in its wake. Exploring the 
  62. source of its disturbance, the crew discover a 
  63. devastated world. Endeavouring to deduce the 
  64. cause of the detonation, Captain Janeway and 
  65. Lieutenant Paris become trapped in the past, shortly 
  66. before the catastrophe.
